SVR Annual Banquet!: It’s about that time of year again when all the stars come out to receive the extravagant SVR Award(s) that we worked hard to achieve all year. Come relax and enjoy some good food and camaraderie with the best running association in the Shenandoah Valley. When: Sunday, March 14, 2010 Doors open at 4:30 Dinner and awards from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm or so Where: U.A.W. Local 149, 2625 Papermill Rd. Winchester, VA (located just off of Pleasant Valley Rd. near the Circuit City/Borders shopping complex) What: Food, friendship, laughs, running stories, and meet fellow SVR members Who: All SVR members and family Bring: A covered dish; something you like when you are not running and would like to share, e.g., casseroles, salads, and desserts Wear: Casual (SVR shorts and tanks are optional) We’ll have a guest speaker and annual awards will be given out for Age Group Runners of the Year, Winter Series winners, Volunteer of the Year and the Ray Gordon Spirit of Running winner. Exercise Your Right to Vote: Candidates for Board Officer positions are voted on at the annual banquet when all members have the opportunity to come and make themselves heard. Please come out and vote.

    The Shenandoah Valley Runners club (SVR) is a hardy group of over 250 devoted runners living in and around the northern Shenandoah Valley .

    To promote running & fitness in our region, we sponsor a number of local races and runs each year, and an eight-race Winter Series. We also have an active women's contingent. Among the perks of membership are discounts at many club races, a spring banquet, a summer picnic, and a bi-monthly newsletter.
