SVR Club Awards

Shenandoah Valley Runners Club Awards

Shenandoah Valley Runners acknowledge the service and dedication of outstanding members and volunteers within the local running community by presenting awards at the annual SVR Banquet (held every March).  Each year, SVR Board Members nominate individuals for the Ray Gordon Spirit of Running Award (SVR Club Founder) and the Volunteer of the Year Award. Members are also recognized through the Age Group Runner of the Year awards.

  1. Ray  Gordon Spirit of Running Award: The award is given to the person/persons/organization that best promote the spirit of running for the year.
  2. Volunteer of the Year:  Given to the person or persons who volunteer at a number of local and club events.
  3. Runners of the Year:  Given to SVR member for participation and/or outstanding performance within their Age Group.
