Runners and hikers are invited to join this fall for a 5k trail run and hike to benefit the Powhatan School PPA’s Teacher Wish List Fund. Awards for the top 3 finishers, male and female, and a random raffle plus BPA-free water bottles for all participants! And, after the event is completed, join in the fun at Powhatan’s annual Rummage Sale and Fall Festival. Event Info When: October 4, 2014 @ 9:00 am Where: Powhatan School Sports Field 49 Powhatan Lane Boyce, Va 22620 Entry Fee: $20 Adults $12 Youth (15 and under) $55 Family of four The Course The course – first grass, then on to the trails of the conservancy. We are proud to say that there is not a single bit of pavement! The course has a few small but challenging hills and plenty of scenery. There will be a water station at the 1 and 2 mile points.
Registration: To register, fill out the paper form attached below and pay by Cash or Check made payable to “Powhatan School.” If entering a child, the entry and release form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Packet Pick up and Race Day Parking Packet Pick up will occur on Friday, October 3, 2014 between 8:30 and 9:00am or between 3:00 and 4:00 pm at the school. You can also pick up your packet the morning of the event at the check-in table. Check-in opens at 7:45am and you must pick up your packet by 8:45am. (Note: no headphones, bikes, or pets, please.) Race day parking will be directly in front of the school and clearly marked. Please arrive early!
