RAY GORDON SPIRIT OF RUNNING AWARD

The Ray Gordon Spirit of Running Award is to be given annually to the person/persons/organizations that have best promoted the “Spirit of Running” for the year. Recipients DO NOT have to be members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners.

Nominations will be solicited by the club membership in writing.

It is recommended that requests for nominations be placed in the newsletter, webpage and the weekly running e-mails prior to the annual banquet. Nominations will be submitted to the previous year’s winner. Such person will then chair a committee that will be made up by choosing two (2) additional SVR members. This committee will be charged with choosing that year’s recipient and getting that information to the appropriate person in order for the awards to be presented.

Award will be presented at the annual member banquet.
