Winter Series in review Final men's standings: overall, age groups Final women's standings: overall, age groups It was Ruth Riemenschneider all the way in this year's Winter Series. Ruth won five of the eight races and clinched the overall women's victory after the seventh race, enabling her to enjoy herself at Claymont. Speedster Sandy Adams wound up in second, thanks to a win at the Lincoln race and top five finishes at every race she ran. Teens Christina Moore and Rachel Eisenfeld both ran very well and finished third and fourth, respectively. And Tracy Rice finished in the top five for the second year in a row, taking fifth place this year after having nabbed fourth place last winter. (Ruth and Rachel joined Nancy Specht and Jen Peachey in winning perfect attendance awards, too.) Congrats to all of our winners! Names of SVR members in the standings below appear with a reddish-pink background, and names of runners with perfect attendance appear in bold. The final tally of points, listed in the "-1" column, consists of each runner's best seven point totals. Series awards were given to the top five overall, to the top runner in various age groups, and to those with perfect attendance. See the women's age groups page for the final age group standings.
