Race starts at 8 a.m.; kids race starts at 11:30 a.m.
The start line for the half marathon will be located inside the Kernstown Battlefield. The battlefield is located directly behind the shops at Creekside Station off of Valley Avenue in Winchester, VA.
The 13.1-mile course will loop through the city before making its way back through the battlefield along the scenic views of Middle Road, Apple Valley Road, Shady Elm Road, Spring Dale Road, Germany Road, Middle Road before heading back to the battlefield grounds, finishing in Creekside.
This is a semi flat course with great views of the orchards and the mountains of Frederick County, VA. This will be an open course with through traffic. Runners will be directed to listen to the course marshals and to run with the flow of traffic. Spectators will have the best spot cheering on their family, friends, brothers and sisters in the battlefield seeing them pass three different times.
Participants will receive a commemorative moisture wicking long sleeve race t-shirt, finishers medal and swag bag.
